Prior to this position, she worked in Sustainable Coffee Sourcing at the same company since 2011. With extensive experience working with small producers, she has been involved in developing sustainable business programs to improve socioeconomic and environmental conditions within the coffee supply chain.
Schuit has played a crucial role in implementing ethical standards at Union, ensuring that producers receive at least 25% above the fair trade minimum price. She emphasizes building strong relationships with farmers, regularly traveling to origin countries to understand their needs and challenges.
