Owner and manager of Finca La Merced in Guatemala since 2006. Former President of ANACAFE, Guatemala’s National Coffee Association, until 2022, and past President of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) until December 2022. He has been a member of the INTECAP Board of Directors since 2013.
Beyond his leadership in these organizations, Barrios has been a key advocate for sustainable and regenerative coffee. Through his work, he aims to improve the livelihoods of farm workers and promote environmentally friendly agricultural practices, emphasizing sustainability and the social impact of coffee.
